How To Transfer Files To A Memory Card In Android

By default, Android saves user files to the device’s internal memory. Over time, the number of such files increases so much that the smartphone or tablet starts to display a message about the lack of memory and the user can no longer install the application or take a photo (video). To free the internal memory of the gadget, you need to move the accumulated user files to the SD memory card. This can be done using the file manager or by connecting a smartphone / tablet to a computer and moving using Windows Explorer.

Install File Manager and run it. After opening the application, you find yourself in a window where 2 sections are presented: “Device"And"SD-map".

The “Device” section shows the contents of the internal memory of your Android smartphone or tablet, and the “SD card” section shows the contents of the memory card.

Tap on the "Device" icon to open the contents of the internal memory and find the file (s) needed to move to the microSD card. Mark the desired file (s) or folders with files and tap on the “Move»At the bottom left of the application.

As a result of this action, two buttons will appear below: the “Cancel", Tap on which cancels the action and the button"Embed», Tap on which moves the marked files to the currently open folder.

We need to transfer the files to the memory card, so we go to the main File Manager window by tapping the “Home»In the upper left corner of the screen.

Tap on the section "SD-card" open the contents of the memory card.

Select the directory on the memory card where we want to move the previously marked files and folders. Then tap on the button "Insert" we move the marked files from the internal memory of your smartphone or tablet to the SD-card.
